I've been playing this for over a year (lvl93). I really loved it for awhile, but at higher levels it really loses some of what makes it fun early on. I've spent money, and the shop really is too expensive as you progress. Progression was really enjoyable for awhile, but around level 80 or so it feels a lot more grindy with less reward. Last update people lost money as artifacts they spent money to level were downgraded. I do like the new banners with easier to see chests and rare monsters.

Recent update is RUINING the game! The goblin cave event used to be a great way to earn coins, now you hardly earn anything! On top of that, entry is no longer free. You have to find a cave key, spend energy to earn it, and only then can you enter (unless you want to spend gems). I can only imagine how the other events have been changed. I definitely forsee a lot of regular players leaving the game unless the update is rolled back.

Been playing almost since it came out, only spent real money on the new monthly thingy, not because I needed it, but no ads, they deserved some compensation. Yeah, you have to grind for sometimes weeks if you don't want to spend money, but what's the point if you can beat the game and get everything in a few days. The levels with chests may be harder, but basically they are just like the surprise really hard levels, except not a surprise. Fantastic free game, you can play for a long time.
